Welcome to the Jenny Lind Fire Protection Districts “How to Join” section of our Website. We are always looking for volunteers to join the Department. Please look over the below mentioned requirements and agreements to see if joining the District sounds like something for you. If you have any questions please call the station at 209-786-2227 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm and ask for Elizabeth, Captain Estakhri or Firefighter Cammisa. We also encourage all applicants to come spend some time at the station located at 6501 Jenny Lind Road, Valley Springs,Ca 95252. Requirements for new applicants:
1. 18 Years of age
2. Be able to pass a background check
3. Be able to pass a medical examination
Responsibilities of new applicants:
1. Successful completion of 1 year probation
2. Completion of a First Responder or Emt Certification within 1 year
3. Attend at least 50% or 2 trainings a month
4. Successful completion of the Volunteer Fire Academy within 1 year
